Published on October 15, 2025–Updated on October 16, 2025
The laboratory of experimental economics is a space dedicated to conducting experiments in
economics, where researchers observe the real decisions of individuals in controlled situations.
General presentation
The laboratory of experimental economics is a space dedicated to conducting experiments in economics, where researchers observe the real decisions of individuals in controlled situations. It is used to test economic theories or to evaluate public policies in an environment where all conditions can be controlled. The implementation of
programs (ztree, otree, python, etc.) allows, among other things, the creation of interactive games between participants.
The room can accommodate up to 20 participants at a time.
Two rules of experimental economics must normally be followed if the data generated is intended for publication: participants must not be lied to, and they must be compensated according to their decisions.
