Version anglaise / International / International Student: studying at Paris Nanterre
EDUC E-Tandem
The EDUC alliance E-Tandem programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop their language and intercultural skills. Through regular virtual exchanges with one or two students from partner universities (in Germany, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Norway, France or the Czech Republic), this programme allows participants to converse independently and practice the language of their choice in a friendly, informal setting.
- Why take part?
-
- Develop your language skills: improve your spoken fluency in one or more target languages by conversing directly with native or experienced student speakers.
- Experience an intercultural exchange: discuss societal and current affairs topics (cultural stereotypes, social media, the environment, human rights) and discover new perspectives.
- Enhance your university profile: obtain an official certificate of participation attesting to the international dimension of your studies — a real asset for future applications to international mobility schemes, particularly the EDUC Gap Year.
- Develop your language skills: improve your spoken fluency in one or more target languages by conversing directly with native or experienced student speakers.
- How does the programme work?
-
The E-Tandem programme represents a total workload of 25 student hours, spread across the semester:
1. Initial contact and organisation: scheduling online meetings with your partner and mastering the video-conferencing tool.
2. Session preparation: reviewing learning resources prior to meetings (articles, videos, thematic documents).
3. Discussion sessions: carrying out 7 interactive spoken exchange sessions (lasting between 30 minutes and 1 hour per meeting).
4. Follow-up and final submission: sharing content on the course platform, completing two feedback questionnaires, and submitting a written logbook alongside a joint oral presentation.
The programme features 7 thematic units released progressively throughout the semester to guide your discussions, whilst leaving you free to explore other topics of mutual interest. - Prerequisites and entry requirements
