Accommodation

Accommodation in the Paris region costs a minimum of 500 euros per month, so make sure you have enough money for your accommodation.
Warning: never send money to a private owner without a guarantee of its reliability. Give preference to official student residences and professional accommodation providers, and if you want to book an accommodation for a private owner, take the necessary precautions (ask for proof of any payment you make as well as a rental contract). If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact us: welcomedesk@liste.parisnanterre.fr
We recommend that you be flexible about your geographical location in order to find accommodation more easily (see the "Practical Life" section to find out which cities are on the lines serving Nanterre University).

University Paris Nanterre has set up various partnerships to assist international students in their search for accommodation:

►CROUS

The Crous is an organisation providing social student housing. This housing is reserved for French students with scholarships in priority, but our university benefits from some housing reserved for our exchange students.
Note: the rooms available are basic, with a surface area of 9m² with a bathroom corner and the kitchen (one per floor) is shared with all residents.

• If you are an exchange student
, you have the possibility to request a room in the university residence on the Nanterre campus (only accessible to those under 30 years old): your request for a university room is made at the time of your online application via the MoveON form. This must be completed before the application deadline (your application for accommodation will not be considered in case of late application).

Please note that residence places are very limited, we cannot guarantee a room to all exchange students, accommodation is reserved for students with low income, please only apply if you meet this criterion. You cannot contact the CROUS directly, the International Relations Office will manage your application and assist you with the process. For more information on the application procedure, click here.

• If you are an individual mobility student, please note that we do not have rooms reserved at the Crous and that if you register directly with the Crous, you will not be given priority. Given the limited number of places available and the high demand at the Nanterre residence, it is very difficult to obtain a room. We strongly recommend that you look for other accommodation solutions (see our partners below)..

If you are a doctoral student or researcher, the ACCESS website of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris provides you with a range of tools to support you in your mobility in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
