Applying for a 1st year undergraduate degree (L1)
  • You are a European citizen.
  • You are a non-EU national but hold a French baccalauréat.
    You must apply via PARCOURSUP.
     
  • You live in France but have a baccalauréat obtained abroad.
    You must submit a preliminary admission application (DAP VERTE).
    • Submission of applications: 1 October 2024
    • Application deadline: 15 December 2024

    You must complete a preliminary admission application (DAP BLANC) by visiting the Études en France platform.

  • You live abroad in a country that does not have the Études en France procedure.
    You will need to download the DAP BLANC application form and send it to the Service de Coopération et d'Action Culturelle at the French embassy in your country.

Applying for L2, L3, Master's 1 or Master's 2 degree
  • You live abroad in one of the 72 countries that have the Études en France procedure.
    You must submit your application via the Études en France platform

  • You are a European citizen.
  • You are a non-EU national living in France.
  • Your country does not have the Études en France procedure.
    If you wish to apply for a L2/L3 or M2 degree, you must go to University Paris Nanterre’s platform E-candidat.
    If you wish to apply for an M1 degree, you must go to the Mon Master platform.
Applying as a refugee or beneficiary of subsidiary or temporary protection

Useful information

Level of French required at the time of application

Applicants from countries where French is not the official language must produce a certificate or diploma certifying their level of French before their application can be considered.

  • For the undergraduate degree, you must provide proof of a B2 level: TCF or DELF (for the DAP you must present a TCF DAP or TCF tout public with a compulsory written expression test).
  • For the Master's degree, you must provide proof of a C1 level: TCF or DALF. Certain countries are exempt from the language proficiency test. Click here for a list of these countries.

Exemption from tuition fees

International students will benefit from a partial exemption from tuition fees. They will only have to pay the registration fees applicable to French students. This partial exemption will apply for the entire university cycle in which they are enrolled.

The registration fee for the academic year 2024/25 is:
• 175 euros for the undergraduate degree
• 250 euros for the Master's degree

You will also have to pay the CVEC (Contribution Vie Étudiante et de Campus) of 103 euros.

Doctoral studies

To register for a Doctorate, you should consult the website of the relevant doctoral school (DRED).
